Chinese Dance Teachers

Job Description

• Creating lesson plans for dance classes.

• Instructing students in an engaging, fun, and appropriate way.

• Imparting dance skills and artistic expression to both amateur and professional individuals and groups.

• Sharing insights on the techniques of traditional Chinese folk dances.

• Conducting recreational lessons of BDA syllabus

• Guiding dance students in preparation for particular auditions and performances.

• Selecting and organizing recital costumes for their classes.

• Communicating professionally with parents and other staff as required.

• Maintaining a stress-free and welcoming dance environment.

Job Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor of fine arts degree in dance or related programs.

• Be comfortable teaching both group classes and private one-on-one dance lessons.

• Have adequate previous dance teaching experience in Chinese folk dance and one or more of the following: ballet, modern dance and choreography.

• Be BDA-Teacher Certified (Grade 6 or above).

• Minimum five years of teaching experience in Chinese Dance.

• Enjoy working with children of all ages.

• Have a passion for dance and a desire to see others grow in this passion as well!-Be able to communicate in Mandarin when required.
